No way, man, I'm leavin' it like it is...*working*...until I know I have some
way to return to the original settings (or the power goes out :-0). Does
alsaconf change any other config files than /etc/modprobe.conf?

Well, I wasn't getting audio from CD's, even though I could play .avi's or
DVD's with sound no problem from the drive. Personally, I don't listen to audio
CD's on my machine, so I could care less really.

Just want things back the way they were before I *once fscking again* forgot
'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Sheesh. I need a beer.
