Had no reply so I thought I'd shorten the question ....
Are people currently (within the last few weeks) receiving updates with
the automatic
update program (mdkapplet and mdkupdate) for Mandriva 2006?

and since then it tells me the system is up to date all the time
whereas I used to need to install packages every day or so
so I think it is failing to update properly. I haven't had any updates
for over a month.
Has anyone experienced the same problem? I've tried emailing
Mandriva but as always I get no reply.
