Hi Roy
I take it you have the rpm already. So you need to understand how to use
rpm or urpmi. Just type
man rpm
man urpmi
and then (usually I need to) re-read, and read again, play with it and then
you will suss it.
Or alternatively you can double click on the rpm file and it will
install in the
default places where the rpm is set up to go anyway. I don't know if it goes
to /opt though. It would be better to let it install where it wants to
go, as it
would have been configured to expect certain locations.

Do you have a club account? If so you can set up your sources online.
If not, then just download the Java stuff from java.com and get the
RPM version. Then follow the instructions on that website.
