Bill, many times, for older libs and other misc files you can simply soft link 
it to satisfy whatever software is trying to access it.

So, if you're in /libs (whichever one the file is in), then as root, just do 
a:

ln -s libXaw3d.so.7 libXaw3d.so.6

and hopefully the software will find it then.
