urpmi.removemedia install_contrib? and then just grab another one? Will
this mess up mdkonline?

Just looking for suggestions :) ... I've got a few other machines I'm going
to set up as well and pay for Mandrivaonline for them so I'd like to get
this right on the first one before I install more machines.

All help/suggestions are appreciated!!

Sounds like you got it right. just getting a better mirror should fix it.

Thanks Ben! ... ok well I did grab a new source ... here's what I'm not
understanding now ... I ran mdkupdate --auto with no real issues ... then did
an urmpi --auto-select ... lo and behold there were packages to install ...
after installing all of them the mdkapplet STILL says there are packages to
upgrade. When I click on install updates, I get an empty package list??? I
also tried running urmpi --auto-select again which ALSO shows there is nothing
to upgrade/update or install.

Any ideas why mdkapplet shows there are still packages needing updating?? I'd
like to see this icon a green checkmark for once :D

Thanks again!!

Lonny

What's the output of urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select as root and also urpmq --list-media as root?
