Hi all,

I ran an update yesterday, and got the following output ("..."s are places
where I deleted unrelated output):

...
     9/14: dkms-nvidia #############################################

Creating symlink /var/lib/dkms/nvidia/8762-3.1.20060plf/source ->
                 /usr/src/nvidia-8762-3.1.20060plf

DKMS: add Completed.

Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.12-12mdk cannot be found at
/lib/modules/2.6.12-12mdk/build or /lib/modules/2.6.12-12mdk/source.
You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located.

You must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.12-12mdk (i586) first.

Normally I make a habit of rebooting after getting any significant updates, as
I've run into problems when I haven't (I suspect due to dynamic libraries
already loaded into memory that got upgraded). Now I'm afraid to, as these
messages suggest to me that my nvidia driver has been removed and I might
lose X if I do.

I'm thinking I need to upgrade my kernel (kernel-2.6.12.22mdk looks like the
newest; I'm still on kernel-2.6.12.12mdk) and kernel source, then reinstall
dkms and/or the nvidia driver.

Any advice?
