Well, it's on, and up and running! The only issues I have relate to Hotplug/HAL not loading on startup (not a major issue, as I very rarely plug any USB devices in anyway), and KDE has a problem whereby the "configure panels" menu is just a blank page... and it says so when you open the menu! Another weird foible, Harddrake is seeing my wireless card (run under ndiswrapper in 2k6, but now there appears to be a proper linux driver for it), and it is working (installed driver manually), but drakconf is telling me there is no wireless card present... uh? Anyway, Xorg appears to be stable, and it seems to run a little faster then 2k6... havent had a look in ksysguard yet, to see what resources it's actually using at idle.... But for something to run quick on an Athlon 650 with 392MB RAM, it must be good! :-) Cant wait for the "proper" release to come out!
