Thanks for that Ian.... But I don't have a DVD burner :-) Anyway, I am trying to do a network install of 2007 Community. I have downloaded the boot.iso from ftp.proxad.net, burned it to CD, booted up, configured my network card & IP settings (D-Link 530), but the ftp URL's that are preloaded appear to be no good.... I just get a "file not found". Looking at the URL on my other PC, it appears to be totally different, with the /Mandrakelinux appearing now on ftp.proxad.net as a shortcut.... click it, and you get a totally different URL appear in the browser address bar.... and I still get the file not found error too..... Can anyone give me a URL that I can do a ftp network install from, that will actually *WORK*? I'd like to get up and running on 2007 Community, but a: cant really afford the bandwidth to download the whole DVD .iso, and b: I havent a DVD burner..... I'd just rather just pull down the files I actually *WANT* to install.... The last network install I did, was 2005LE, and that went without a hitch.... I tried the same method with 2006, and had no success.... in the end having to download the 3 CD .iso's, and getting moaned at by my ISP for bandwidth usage in the process! :-) Can somebody help please? Many thanks, James PS, had this problem a few weeks back when messing with Fedora 5... so I gave up! ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
