Hi All, I just installed 2007 community on a spare box, and I'm getting queer login behaviour, with both KDM & GDM.
I've had issues with KDM on another box running 2007CE, but solved them with a switch to GDM. However, on this particular box, I'm getting to the login screen, and entering the username, and immediately getting an error.... "authentication failed", even after just the username. It happens with both the default user, and root. The only way to get in, is to edit inittab to start at runlevel 3, login in text mode, then type startx. Anybody any ideas on this one?
