Thanks for your advice, Miark. I appreciate it. I usually find that I need the nvidia driver for my video card and monitor, in order that the picture is correctly centred. That's why I mentioned it. To the others who are having video trouble. I have got Mandriva One (not the 'free' version) 2007 rc2 on my spare hard drive and have had no problems with video on my 15" 1024x748 75Hz LCD monitor.
