Yep, I remeber that one but haven't got it on hand here. IIRC there was a prob with the jigdo scripts i.e. that some files needed to be set executable. Better hop over to the LXF site for more info on that. > I use Mandy2006 on this pc. > All this is cos i can't make my belkin pcmcia wlan card work on the > laptop whichis using mandriva one at the moment. Which one? I've gotten quite a few Belkin wifi products working without ndiswrappers. Open a console, become "root" or "su". Then enter "tail -f /var/log/messages" on the commandline and .....stick in the Belkin card. The output can be quite helpfull in troubleshooting. Use your mouse to select some of the output there and use a "middle click" to copy it to a mail if needed. If that doesn't work use <CTRL> &<c> and then <SHIFT> & <INSERT> to paste into. Saves a lot of typing, heh. ;-) > ndiswrapper is > missing (i think). although i have got it to run a usb wifi adaptor. > But even that I have to re-configure every time I boot up! Well you could configure it all to your needs and then do the HD-install. After that you'd only have to add a few urpmi rpositories from http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and enjoy a full fledged installed Mandy. > My learning curve is vertical and i'm wearing leather soled shoes! It' all in the teeth, good man!! keep on grinding 'em and you'll get where you want to ....... even by yer bootstraps, if need be. :-) -- Good luck, HarM ____________________________________________________ Want to buy your Pack or Services from Mandriva?
