I decided to test my DSL speed this weekend using Embarq's command line test. I got some pretty strange tests using either eterm or a shell:
Using the shell I got results like this: 1048576 bytes received in 2 seconds (5.2e+02 Kbytes/s) 5242880 bytes received in 9.3 seconds (5.5e+02 Kbytes/s) 10485760 bytes received in 19 seconds (5.3e+02 Kbytes/s) And using eterm these results: 1048576 bytes received in 1.9 seconds (5.4e+02 Kbytes/s) 5242880 bytes received in 9.3 seconds (5.5e+02 Kbytes/s) 10485760 bytes received in 19 seconds (5.5e+02 Kbytes/s) Previously when I was running 3mbit DSL the tests came out correctly. Anyone have any inkling as to what may be the problem or the cause? -- Chris
