for the CHEAPEST video card that works great with mandriva, i recommend a low-end nvidia card. nVidia works like a dream with ALL linux distros that ive used (which are debian and mandriva/mandrake). However, if you dislike nvidia, ATI works ok with linux.....but they arent all that good with graphics processing.
