No trouble whatsoever. Installed it from the repo's using "urpmi 
bittorrent-gui". How did you install this latest RPM, using (g)urpmi?
Did it come from a Mandriva repository?

I installed "ktorrent" (needs KDE :-) )which in IMHO has a much more 
informative interface, especially with all the plugins installed, which are 
in the "torrentutils" and "torrentsniff" packages.
