I installed Mandrake 10.0 under qemu for Windows.
It works but I can't access the internet. I can get a ethernet Interface eth0
under Mandrake, I can give it an IP addresse and ping it but I can't leave
qemu. I mean I need a way to link my virtual eth0 with the real Windows NIC
card.

Googling around showed me, that there is something like a tap interface. But
it's confusing, they are talking about VPNs and VLANs and I'm not sure this is
really what I want.

So my questions:

- How can I reach the internet from Mandranke installed in qemu for Windows?
- What about IP addressing? Does I have the same IP address under Mandrake as
under Windows?

this is NOT a problem with mandrake, but with windows and qemu, since you get an IP number in mandrake (did you use dhcp or static?) adn you want to use an older and unsupported version of Mandrake (10.0) I would suggest you ask on the M$ windows newbie mail list.
;-)
(oh,,, I crack myself up)

you may need a DHCP server to connect the windows card to.

I don't think you will find that many folks around here that are all that familiar with Qemu...
