Running GNOME 2.12. I noticed in Nautilus that when bringing up the Properties Dialog on various files, that the 'Open With' tab lists multiple entries of the same programs for opening said file. For example, a .doc file may have two or three entries for GEdit, of which only one radio button will be enabled. The problem is that when I select one of extra entries for removal, the remove button is grayed out. What gives? I also have a couple of double entries for some applications on my Start Menu. Right clicking the star to modify the menus behavior and program list does not bring up the dialog as it should.
Suggestions? I am more used to KDE, but have been using GNOME because it is so much faster and less bloated. Therefore I am not as informed when it comes to adjusting and modifying the desktop behavior.
