Subject: [newbie] How to transfer e-mails in thunderbird?

Hello,
I installed 2007 in a directory under 2006.
on the same root directory or on the same hard drive on its own
partition?

Now I want to transfer my e-mails folders and all the mails from
Thunderbird to the new version of 2007.
Where do I find them on my home folder?
Thank you

----CJs reply----
Dude, it isnt a good idea to install a newer mandriva over your older mandriva because if the installer fails or something bad happends to mandriva 2007, you will not be able to go back to mandriva 2006 unless you have a backup of mandriva 2006 handy
----end of reply----

Hello
I did not install it over but in parallel with a entrance in my lilo!
you need to mount the 2006 file system.
I have still no clue how to transfer my mails over to my new system!
Do you?
Bye
Christophe

In konqueror under the view menu, check off show hidden files.
Then look for the .thunderbird folder.
Your entire profiles shall be there.
Copy it to the new location and make sure te permissions are right.
If your need to be root in konqueror do this in a terminal (konsole)
kdesu konqueror &
Then you shall be root (is your know the password)...
hope that helps.
Thank you
That's what I was looking for!
Bye
