I was mailed, without permission offlist by this person. I felt that the
answers I needed to give should be seen in the public arena.

You didn't search hard enough, or were very selective (see below)

> Jeez, do you guys have any self control at all? 27 replies and counting??

What about your self control? Mailing someone offlist without permission?

> ...and this bit had me *howling*:

Apparently, it doesn't take much... :(

I seemed to have missed something somewhere. How does a computer virus joke
that I posted, and a comment about my Appalachian roots, have anything to do
with "500 years of slavery and genocide"?

> Heh. Well, that's besides the point.

Its way out there, for sure.

Yes, I made a mistake and am not denying it. (although I do believe the
reaction to said transgression was far worse than the transgression itself,
IMHO).

> That's it. No debate, no question. You fucked up. Stop arguing, admit it,

The guts...hmm, now is the time I complete what I stated above. You must have
not searched the archives very well, or you selectively searched them, other
wise you would have seen that my very FIRST reply to Julie on this subject
was an apology to her, and anyone else I might have offended.

How about having the guts to owning up to who you are? :)

> Don't bother replying, there is nothing to discuss. *You are wrong*.

So its okay for you to reply to people offlist, without permission, but not
for them to reply. Whats the name of that e-mail program you're using there,
sport...? Double-Standard?

Well, that is certainly about it for me folks. After devoutly following
Mandrake from 7.0, through all the changes to Mandriva, and advocating,
advocating, advocating, I've had enough of the "list police" and over
(abundant) reactions to the least little thing on this list. I'm going to
unsubscribe shortly.

Anyone who cares to continue this thread or conversation, hopefully in a civil
manner is welcome to join me on the OT list, or to check out the "Political
Agenda" message base on my BBS.

Thanks be to the great ones who I've had the honor of meeting on this list,
people like Civilme and many others..

See ya 'round the 'Nix universe folks. :)
