Hi All,

I'm looking at getting a new Graphics card. I'm currently on a 3dfx Voodoo3,
which is ok, but there are a few games that use OpenGL, that just wont play
correctly under Linux.

Are there any particular cards to avoid with Mandriva? (ie with driver issues
etc).

I'm looking at a Connect3D Radeon 7000 at the moment, as it's within my budget
range, and the spec looks quite good (for what I want, anyhow).

Has anyone had any practical experience of these with Mandriva?

Thanks,

James

The overall sentiment seems to be that NVidia cards are ahead of ATI
cards when it comes to linux driver support. Although AMD's recent
buyout of ATI has been expected to herald a change NVidia still seems
the current favorite.
