Hi All,

I've just gotten my first DVD Burner....

I'm having some serious speed issues with K3B.

The burner is 18x capable, and the media I currently have, is 8x compatible.

However, I burned a data CD last night, and only managed 4x, and I'm now in
the process of burning the 2007 .iso, and only managing to see 1.10x at
best....

CD burning is no problem, I can burn at 48x all day long with the same device.

Is it a settings issue here? or is it my hardware? my PC is a dinosaur by
todays standards (Athlon 650, 512MB).

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks,

James

There is prolly some defects with the cd. Check to see if the cd is in good
shape (like if theres any finger prints or if the metal layer is scratched). If
thats not the problem, then there was probably a manufacturing error at the
plant where the cd came from. In that case, try a different cd and see if it
does teh same thing
