My fault.... :-( I downloaded the wrong kernel-source package!! Noticed the error of my ways from looking at the log, and corrected it... it installed no problems after that! First time in nearly 2 years I have been able to play Soldier Of Fortune under Linux, as the Voodoo3 that I had was just terrible in Linux (or maybe it was the drivers!).
