How do I serve a directory on my site?
mdk 9.2 Apache2
I feel dumb, but the need never came up before.

assuming already did urpmi apache2?
maybe also a "urpmi "drakewizard" (gives mcc some added options)
maybe also "urpmi webmin" (has a good module for configuring apache)
what does as root "service httpd status" say?
what happens in the browser if you use the url "http://127.0.0.1"
if it serves up a web page, then you need to work on getting the
computer 'seen' by the rest of the internet, (get an name at dyndns.org)
that page is called index.html in the folder /var/www/html/, in the
default 9.2 folder. that is the default folder, and can be changed in
the file /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf, or you can
one thing, when sticking a computer out on the net and advertising dns,
expect to be hammered with exploits and cracking attempts, and have a
good firewall rules set, and install modsecurity for that version.
