I installed Mandriva 2007.0 on my laptop a couple weeks ago. Im having
troubles getting it working with my wireless network card. When I go to
wireless it tells me
"Some packages (bcm43xx-firmware) are required but aren't available. These
packages can be found in Mandriva Club or in Mandriva commercial releases.
Info:
due to missing /lib/firmware/bcm43xx_microcode*.fw
The required files can also be installed from this URL:
http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/"
So I installed the bcm43xx-fwcutter... Then I went and got the wl_apsta.o
file and Im getting this
"Sorry, the input file is either wrong or not supported by bcm43xx-fwcutter.
I can't find the MD5sum c05d7371efb4e33d1e7729ffd310e3f3"
error when I do bcm43xx-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware wl_apsta.o. So I went on
the BCM users IRC chan and someone told me that my file is getting corrupted
on download, so Ive downloaded it about 10times and I keep getting the same
error but with a different MD5sum number... anyone have any idea??
