I can't remember if you posted where you get your packages. Are
you using the rpm's from SoS by chance? I, and others had problems
with the hald and dbus rpm's from SoS. After returning to the MDV
rpm's, problems disappeared for me.

Hi Cameron,
In his initial post, he mentioned he was using 2007mdv, cause I had the
same issues with 2006 using SoS rpms of hal and dbus as you.
