Subject: [newbie] No more apache trouble for now.

I tried reformatting / and /usr and set up 2007 from scratch.
It did not work well.

I reformatted / and /usr and set up 2006 from scratch.
It works. Including apache and mysql.
Tomorrow I shall install proftp again, need to go to sleep now.

2007, in my opinion, is not very good. Had nothing but problems for 4 hours.
Had 2006 back up and going in 40 minutes.

----cjs reply----
im not too big of a fan of mandriva 2007 neither. mandriva tends to be a system
resource hog in the fact that it accumulates LOTS of ram. Furthermore the
installer is buggy. but it works good running it off of the live cd
----end of reply----

Amazing.
