Hello all,
I recently downloaded the 4.1.0 source tarballs, and attempted to make
heads or tails of the documentation and the '.cf' files. I have
concluded that I have _NO_ idea where to begin my task.
What I am trying to do is create a minimalistic XServer and Client.
Basically, what I'd like as an end product is a GUI that runs an
application or two (audio/video player or something to that effect).
Obviously, for such a small use, I don't really need all that X has to
offer, except for a uniform widget set, and its stability. Anyway, does
anyone know where I should begin? I mean, I want something that'll
basically run programs written for X, and that's basically it (for
now). No KDE/Gnome, or any of that stuff. Anyone know of a good
documentation source? I noticed that the developers mention in their
documentation that they don't really have any good docs. included with
the source, in the case that you want to compile from source.
Any help is appreciated in this matter. Please "Re:" both my email
address, and the list, because I am not subscribed, and I'm sure someone
else out there wants to know the same thing. Thanks!
-Tom Cameron
