VNC is quite close- you run the special VNC X-server, and you can connect
to it via the VNC Viewer, which is also available as a Java applet,
available from the mini-webserver Xvnc runs.
It is Virtual Network Computing, and is Free Software from the AT&T
research labs in the UK. See http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/.
