I recently upgraded my kernel from 2.0.36 to 2.2.1 and also I upgraded my XFree86 from
I dont know
what to 4.0.1 in an effort to get my Voodoo3 card recognized. After lots of pain I
finally have it
recognized but my display is not configured properly.
Here are my three leads...
1) I get this message after leaving Xserver
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name "base:0" in "remove"
command.

2) While in Xserver no matter which resolution I toggle to
using ctrl-alt-+ I never get the entire desktop to fit into the screen. It looks nice
though, but
the major problem is that The mouse only has erratic left and right motion. I am using
a logitech
mouseman+ that works fine in the previous xFree and everywhere else so I think it is
settings.

3) When I run Xconfigurator i get
xconfigurator uses obsolete /proc/pci interface
I guessing this is from upgrading the kernel and not upgrading the proc/pci thingy
because I didnt
know what it is and where to find it.

Any help offereed or suggestions whatsoever is appreciated
