The card is supported in Xfree 3.3.6 and in 4.0.3.
Xconfigurator (linux is case dependant) usually
detects the right values for most of the hardware, in
my case it certainly detected the card (same as yours)
and the monitor (I had a laptop docked with an
external monitor) the values it had selected
automatically were OK for the start only problem:
knowing which version of XFree was being used. I have
RH 7.1 and it decides of itself whether 3.3.6 or 4.0.3
is good for you. In my case it set 3.3.6 as the
server, which I did not like because most of the
modules are compiled for 4.0.3...
I suspect that if you have RH 7.x then you also got
3.3.6 because of the card, see further for finding out
what you have.
It would be useful to know what your problems are. you
can find the version information in different ways
1. Look at the log /var/loc/XFree86.0.log or redirect
the log to a file for instance: startx 2>logfile
2. Look at /etc/X11/X it is a symlink to the server.
If it points to /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 you have 4.x.x
and startx uses /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 if you have RH
7.x
If it points to /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3 you have 3.3.6
(at least that is where it should point with your
card) and startx uses /etc/X11/XF86Config
Note you may have an XF86Config in your /root
directory in such a case both version will use (or
attempt to use) that file when you are logged in as
root...
If it points to something else you may have troubles.
If you don't know how to find out to which file X
points to do
cd /etc/X11
ls -l X
