I just configred this card last night using 4.0.3 (I believe), with the install of RedHat 7.1 that I
bought.  I ran into the issue where the Xserver had my mouse jumping over to the right hand corner.
If this is the issue you are having when you run "startx" to bring up the window manager
then try a different mouse by using the command "mouseconfig".  I was using a Hewlett Packard PS/2
mouse so I tried the generic ps/2 mouse and the logitech ps/2 mouse and they did the same thing.  I then used
a the first PS/2 mouse (I believe it was called Aimee PS/2 or something like that ) and it worked!!

I am by no means an expert on why this strange mouse setting worked so you might want to
check around, but if your symptoms seem the same it might be worth your time for 5 minutes
to try a few different mouse settings. (I believe "mouseconfig" is a RedHat command, I am not sure
'what OS's that command exists on...)

Subject: [Newbie]video card ATI Xpert 2000 Pro (Rage 128)

Hi,

I have been trying without success to configure XFree86 4.1.0 ( Linux 2.4.5 i686 [ELF] )
for an ATI XPERT 2000 PRO card ( Rage 128 ).

Has anyone done this successfully using 4.1.0?  If so, I would very much
like to see the relevant entries in your XF86Config file.

Or buy another card?

Thanks,

Iris
