I'm having difficulty setting up RH7.1 on my machine. (I'm also a newbie to
Linux).
When X attempts to start the screen flickers a dozen times or so & dumps be
back to the text-based login prompt. It will do this for a couple of
minutes, then I get a message stating that X is attempting to spawn too
quickly (or often) and that it will be shut down for 5 minutes.
Looking at the log file the only error message I can see is related to X's
inability to load module 'vgahw'. I configured X through the setup program
(anaconda), then from XConfigurator - with the same results.
