Title: Untitled Stationery
Hi,

I have the following hardware on my computer:

45GB IBM Deskstar75 7200RPM Hard Drive
45GB IBM Deskstar75 7200RPM Hard Drive
Maxtor 13.8GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Maxtor 2.6GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Adaptec 2904 SCSI Card
HP 9200 series CD-RW
Creative Labs DVD-RAM drive
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz Processor
EPOX EP-8KTA-3 Motherboard
768MB PC133 SDRAM (Micron)
ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro 32MB Video Card
Creative Labs AWE64 Gold sound card
Optiquest V773 Monitor (17")

I am currently running WinLinux 2000.  Here is how it is set up:
Linux Version: 2.2.13
Architecture: i686
Object Format = ELF
libc Version = 6.1.2 (6.1)
KDE 1.1.2
(it says on the winlinux cd that I have glibc2.1 but when I ran the xinstall.bin it gave me libc 6.1.2...  are glibc and libc the same thing???)

Right now it will boot all the way to "Starting the KDE Desktop Enviornment", then the screen goes blank.  I have tried several drivers provided by WinLinux (on the disk), at all resolutions (high and low), and also with "no_accel" typed in the config file.  The same thing happens no matter what driver/res/accel I have it on.  I have upgraded to XFree86 3.3.6 already, but that didn't seem to do much good either, so I'm hoping that an upgrade to XFree86 4.1.0 will do some good.

I ran the xinstall.bin -check (as you can see above) and I went into the FTP site to see if I could find the binary version for (libc version 6.1) but I was only seeing the binaries for libc5.  Will the libc 5 binaries work? / Or to I need to find the 6.1 version somewhere?  Or, if you know any tricks to get my KDE to show up on my monitor instead of just a blank screen, I would be extremely grateful.  I would love to start switching over to Linux because I'm getting sick of the little tricks that Microsoft is trying to pull.  Once I'm half way proficient with Linux, I will cut over completely... but (till then) I need all the help I can get!

Thank you very much for your help!!
