I am running FreeBSD 4.2 with XF86 4.10 and kde.

Everything works fine except for the blue background in the Xterm
(root)window.

I've tried editing the .xinitrc file in my home directory with the
-fg black/white -bg black/white etc. and so on
but it still comes up blue.

This screws up all the pop up menus inside kde or whichever WM/desktop
environment I use. Blue everywhere!
Even the icons on the "taskbar" have a blue background which makes them
ugly.

When I check my log file for XF86 in /var/log there is a comment
"Couldn't open RGB_DB "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11"

I checked my RGB path in the Xconfig86 file and it is
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11
sure enough there is a file there called rgb.txt

but I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

can anyone give me a pointer?

Thanx

Ray
