[Newbie]Trouble with SiS630

I've tried to set the resolution as indicated in http://www.hoagy.org/hacks/lcdx11.html but the xfree 4.1 doesn't work yet,

if I attach my CRT monitor to the secondary output of my laptop the xfree86 is correctly viewed (My monitor is a Philips 107s)

, there's someone able to explain me why ?
