Thank you for replying.  Any idea why i get the error below when trying to
execute a pre-compiled binary?  

Perhaps i should look up compiling the source code (another linux adventure
for me =)

RH 7.1 uses glibc 2.2, AFAIK... This is pretty close to being the latest
version.

I dont mean to ask a stupid question: but what glibc version is RH7.1 using?
I'm trying to execute a binary of BitchX (irc client) <BitchX-75p3 Linux
glibc2 i386>, and it is not executing. Bash says "cannot execute binary."
Anyone know of how i can get the version of gnu libc?
