Hi

I used to use Xfree86 version 3.x on my SiS730s (SiS630 compatible) video.
The video is built into my PC Chips m810lr mb. I had no problems running 3.x.

I upgraded to 4.1.0 yesterday, and found there was no listing for SiS630 in the
XF86config program anymore. However, on the webpage showing driver status,
it says that it does support it, but there are problems.

To uninstall X and revert to version 3.x would be near impossible on my Debian
system, as heaps of libraries have been upgraded for the update.

Anyway, I tried to start an X session and my monitor just goes onto safe-mode
automatically and therefore I cannot see anything.

Can anyone help me?
Dietrich.
