I just got my brand new installation with RedHat 7.1 to work with my Diamond FireGl1000 and Sony CPD-G400 Monitor I thought... But after a minute or so clicking around I totally freeze up! everything but the mouse ( an old two button Microsoft mouse) which I have not done any config on more then the XF86Config, same goes for videocard,monitor and keyboard. But the only thing still not to freeze up is the mouse. Everything else is stone dead, but I can move around with the mouse and cheer for my mouse go mouse... but nothing happens when i click at something I think it might be an video card thingy since that old gl1000 is quite weird, and may not work properly at such low re as it seems to bu running and low color (16 color think) and 640*480. So how do I get the XF86 to recognize my monitor or how do I config it myself? and how do I start in an vidmode with more colors and higher rez? Looking forward hearing from someone, I
really would like to be able to try out my brand new XSI renderslave for Linux
