Hey.
Just a note, thanks to Dave's HOW-TO, I got the Radeon VE to work on my
Dell GX150 w/ the Radeon VE video. A couple of notes: I had to make the
agpgart as a module, not builtin, so it would see the:
agp_try_unsupported=1
config option (otherwise, it appeared to give up - this is w/ kernel 2.4.12)
and a good tip is to run ldconfig after installing new versions of X (I
did get the cvs version, the latest 'released' ver, as advertised, didn't
work) to get the proper libraries seen by everybody. Also, restart xfs
to get readable fonts after the install. I imagine a reboot would work,
but that'd be too win-ish. ;->
Xconfigurator fails w/ coredump (v4.9.29) after the first screen when run
from console/text mode, but works once X is up???
