Yeah, you need Matrox's hallib.a for dualhead on MGA cards... The catch is that it's closed-source, precompiled for x86 Linux, AFAIK. It might be OS-agnostic, but I'm not really sure.

I'm trying to get dual-head to work with x86 Solaris, and our developers prefer Xsun to alternative x-servers, so I loaded the Xfree86 4.0.3 drivers (and Sun patches so Xsun recognizes the Xfree86 data structures). I can select the approriate XFree86 driver (for my Matrox G400), but it only comes up in single screen mode. I've created and added this section to the XF86Config file, but to no avail: Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Layout 1" Screen "MGA 1" Screen "MGA 2" RightOf "MGA 1" InputDevice "Keyboard 1" "CoreKeyboard" InputDevice "Mouse 1" "CorePointer" EndSection Do I need other entries (The Sun documentation says the file need not be complete). Has anyone got this to work? I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
