I want letters outside the 8-bit range.

In redHat Linux 7.1, i have managed to install a new keyboard file, som
that I get my Smi keyboard. I go to the .bashrc file and change the locale
to no_NO.UTF-8, but when I start typing, i only get "?" in place of the
(Latin A) letters.

I take it that my terminal font is to narrow, but how do i get another
font, or rather, how do i get more letters for the font I have?

Even: How do I find out what font i currently use? (from the menu it looks
like "misc-fixed", and I like it very much, I just want my additional
characters).

Trond.
