Dear people, I was under ------------------------------------------ XFree86 Version 4.1.0 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6510) Release Date: 2 June 2001 Build Operating System: FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE i386 [ELF] Module Loader present ------------------------------------------ with a Diamond Stealth III (S520/S540) and Savage 2000 My new monitor support 30-70 HSync, 50-160 VRefresh in both systens I was in 1024x768 mode with 32bpp My problem is that two systens was operating at full (100%) brightness and contrast and was not so good for me. So, does any body now how can I change the gamma to work with less brightness and contrast in monitor hardware setup. I try many values when I start X but I never had the same result that I had in a Windows OS (Urghh - sorry about it). In Windows brightness and contrast work fine with something like 75%. Diamond provides in this system a special software to setup this, so my question there are a special way to do that with XFree?
I try %X :0 -gamma [0.1 - 10] | xterm there is any way to change gamma after start X? Regards Calvin _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
