AFAIK, only the Matrox G4xx and nVidia TNT(1/2)/GeForce(1/2/3) series
support this under Linux, and then only with closed-source drivers... I
believe this is due to NDAs with people who license the codecs used in
video-out, but IANAXD (XFree86 Developer) and IANAL, so I'm not certain... I
thought I heard something about video-out being supported on i810 cards and
possibly a few Rage 128 or Radeon types, but I don't remember where I heard
that.

Subject: [Newbie]Linux support of s-video out ?

There exist video cards with s-video output.
Which, if any, of these cards work under linux?
We'd like to video-tape the the actions of
an operator while running an application.
It seems easiest to pump the screen to a VCR.
Thanks,
