If you can make your monitor(s) work then I don't see the problem: 
usually when configurating X with a monitor which is not listed, but which 
specifications one
knows, one either selects a monitor with similar specifications from the list or 
enters the
required VertRefresh and  HorizSync as required by the configuration program.
If you are not getting the resolution you wish, it is probably due to not specifying 
it in the
screen section of your XF86Config[-4] in such a case just post your config file and 
one can see...
