I am very interested in the SiS630 as it pertains to a laptop of
mine. I have been using a trimed down resolution (640x480, I am not a
gamer) to run Xwindows (XFree86 4.0.1; 7.1 RH) and I am quite unsatisfied
with these results. I can get 1024x768 on an external monitor only and
that is with sorrowful side effects( window continues far off the visible
screen)
        I believe I don't have a very nicely configured XFree86Config file
but I feel it is fruitless to tweak it since the accelerated parts of the
chip remain untapped. Until someone figures out the deal I wait.
