I'd be grateful for any suggestions that might fix a display problem that has cropped up on an previously normal monitor. The image is horizontally compressed at the left and right sides of the screen, and stretched in the centre. No vertical distortion is seen, and the monitor controls have no effect on the distortion. Is there any means of eliminating such distortion? If so, suggestions would be welcome.
