Hi Gregory,

I had a similar problem, in which I installed RH 7.2 with X4.1.0.  For some reason it 
was still using the old 3.3.6a driver, though, which seemed to be wigging my mouse
out.  I use a Trident Cyberblade i7 chipset.

What type of graphics card do you have?  What version of X are you actually using: type
'X -version' to make sure it's 4.1.0.

It's probably not the same problem, but it helps to post that info.

I've also heard of problems trying to use gpm in some modes and X concurrently.
