Hi all,
I encounter a problem in using a Matrox PCI
MGA video. Xfree 3.3.6 refuses to work with it under Suse 7.2 Pro (and also
FreeBSD 4.2 ). X server cannot be launch and, more strange, I cannot boot in
graphical mode (vga = normal in /etc/lilo.conf) althought an old ISA 1Mb Cirrus
Logic works just fine. Of course, this is just unuseful,
I can only have a 640x480 resolution in 8 bits(!!) and it takes about
10 minutes to see desktop appear.
This card is said to be under Windows 98 a
Matrox MGA Ultima/Impression PCI (using IRQ 10) and works perfectly under Win98.
I have tried to use MGA, VGA and SVGA driver without success...I would just to
use it in simple vga mode...
Please help me !
Nicolas
