look at the SuSe support database. Check the information given there for Gericom Webboy. It has a SiS630 chipset, too. Try to connect an external CRT-Monitor. On my Notebook this works without any problems. So I assume it's not a problem with the card, but with the display. Check the mailing list archives for a mail from Ryan Hoagland. He describes a way to get the timings of an arbitrary Monitor/Display. For this purpose he has also developed developed a website (can't find the url at the moment). Take a look there, too.
