Hello,

I’ve installed Caldera OpenLinux 2.3 on an HP NETSERVER LC2000. However, when running the kde environment, it is too large for the size monitor I have. The icons are about ~1000x larger then their actual size for the screen. The interesting thing is that I have also installed this same version of linux on Compaq Prolinea with a Cirrus CL-5434 card and I was able to use theXF86Config.vga file to resolve the screen issues that I had and the kde now work great or a least is viewable on that particular monitor which is a Compaq 151F5.

The HP LC2000 comes with an ATI 3D RAGE IIC graphics card and seems to be working fine except for the sizing problem. I’ve tried setting the dpi to 75 in the xservers file and setting the font priority in the XF86Config file with the same results. Also, when modifying the XF86Config, no changes are affecting the very large font size for the kde icons and text.

Is there anywhere else I can check for this type of setting and or problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Frank
