Hi! I could use some help getting my PB G3
to work with X Windows. Its a Pismo (PowerBook FireWire 500mhz) and I can't seem
to get X to start on it. I have Debian 2.2r3 Linux on there, and the X server
4.1.0.
Everytime I try to startx I get an error
'No display' and the EE is that no driver can be found for my ATI video card.
Also, I can't get my trackpad to work either. Now I am a newbie so I would
really love step by step help, I know it's annoying, but I promise to learn
fast. I tried to do an XFree86 -configure, but that just stops with a fatal
error about the video card. Any ideas? Anybody have this working right now that
may be able to send me their config file so I can see how it is supposed to be
done? Or maybe a website that has one (I've been searching google for about 2
days now)
Thanks a million guys (and
gals!)
Terence
